Drs. Dan Michel and Myriam Shaw Ojeda receive Engagement Scholarship Consortium grant to promote vaccine confidence

On November 21, Drs. Dan Michel and Myriam Shaw Ojeda received funding from the Engagement Scholarship Consortium (ESC) for their project titled Promoting Vaccine Confidence in Rural and Urban Ohio through Undergraduate-Led Gamified Community Engagement.
This grant supports a paid service-learning program for Ohio State undergraduates, providing training to lead a gamified vaccine outreach activity and assess its impact on health literacy. The initiative includes a summer program at the Center of Science and Industry and statewide engagement through Ohio State Extension events, intending to advance health equity and create a replicable model for public health education.
