The Interprofessional Practice and Education Ambassadors Knowledge Network gathered in the Riffe Classroom on Dec. 18 for a community-building event that included lightning talks, round table conversations, networking, refreshments and other opportunities to connect, support each other and share resources.

Through a partnership between The Ohio State University College of Food, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CFAES) and the College of Pharmacy, educators are delivering programming to communities across the state to provide resources and tools to prevent medication misuse among older adults.

Stephen W. Schondelmeyer, PharmD, PhD '84, of Minneapolis, MN, was selected as the recipient of the 2025 Remington Honor Medal. Schondelmeyer’s impact and expertise from over 50 years of research include improving prescription drug access and affordability, encouraging drug price competition, shaping drug benefit plan management and prescription drug reimbursement, documenting pharmacists’ compensation and workforce trends, and establishing policy to reduce drug shortages and improve drug supply resilience.

P1-P3 classes took part in the annual Adopt a Family campaign organized by Pharmacy Council.

The Distinguished Staff Award annually honors staff members for their outstanding achievements, service, leadership and dedication to Ohio State, as well as their demonstration of the university’s shared values. The Distinguished Staff Award is the highest honor bestowed upon staff at the university since its inception in 1984.
