The College of Pharmacy provides a variety of equipment and services supporting all research groups. We have in-house instrumentation, computing, electronics and facilities specialists, as well as a wide spectrum of resources deployed throughout the college.
The college maintains shared resources available to all college research personnel. College research personnel also have access to the instrumentation and services (NMR, MS and proteomics) of the Ohio State Campus Chemical Instrument Center, including the 600 and 800MHz NMR spectrometers located adjacent to the college’s two 400MHz instruments.

Shared Instrumentation Facility
The Shared Instrumentation Facility on the the first floor of the Riffe Building supports the wide variety of research done at the College of Pharmacy. Our instrumentation resources range from NMR to Mass Spectrometry and from Gel Imagers and Multi-Mode Plate Readers to Fluorescent Microscopes. -
DDSR High-Throughput Screening Lab
The Drug Discovery Shared Resource High-Throughput Screening Lab (DDSR-HTS), located in 345 Parks Hall, supports OSUCCC - James members and the greater scientific community through Assay Adaption/Development, High-Throughput Screening (HTS) and High Content Screening (HCS) to identify chemical starting points for the discovery of drugs and molecular probes. -
Pharmacoanalytical Shared Resource (PhASR)
The Pharmacoanalytical Shared Resource (PhASR) provides affordable access to expertise and state-of-the-art instrumentation for bioanalytical assay development and quantitative sample analysis, experimental design, data analysis, and computational modeling of pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic endpoints. This includes support for study design, sample and data analysis for preclinical and clinical research involving the development of novel drug agents or the study of biomarkers in various diseases.
Other Shared Resources
Established in 1981, Ohio State's Campus Chemical Instrument Center is a premier research facility offering advanced analytical services in Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) and Mass Spectrometry and Proteomics (MSP). Through partnerships with the Ohio NMR and MS Consortiums, CCIC extends its world-class instrumentation and expertise to researchers across Ohio's academic institutions and the nation, making advanced chemical analysis accessible to both academic and industry scientists.
The Drug Discovery Shared Resource (DDSR) provides medicinal chemistry support to investigators at the OSUCCC – James and to other academic and commercial institutions. It integrates the expertise of multiple disciplines, including synthetic and process chemistry, instrumental analysis and molecular pharmacology.
