Chester “Chet” Kaczor
Dr. Chester “Chet” Kaczor, PharmD, MBA is the Senior Vice President of Operations at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Chet received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Ohio Northern University and his Master of Business Administration from The Ohio State University.
As SVP, Dr. Kaczor closely collaborates with physician chiefs and department leaders. He is responsible for the strategic vision, administration, and safe operations of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine, Homecare, Pharmacy, Poison Control, Interprofessional and Community Education, Supply Chain and Radiology services at Nationwide Children’s. Dr. Kaczor has focused on strategic planning and talent management, practice advancement, and implementing innovative services with the goal of achieving the best outcomes for all patients.
Chet is a past president of the Ohio Pharmacists Association (OPA) and serves on the board of directors for STAQ Pharma. Chet serves as the instructor for PHR 8130 – Foundations of Advanced Leadership and PHR 8135 – Applications of Advanced Leadership and believes the interactive nature of case-based learning and real-world application of leadership principles creates the best environment for developing leadership skills and styles. Chet currently resides in Columbus, Ohio with his wife and two children.
Mary Petrovskis
Dr. Mary Petrovskis, PharmD, MS, BCPS is the Associate Director of Pharmacy at University Hospital – East Hospital, Ohio State Wexner Medical Center’s community hospital located in the King-Lincoln Bronzeville neighborhood of Columbus. Mary received her Bachelor and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from The Ohio State University. She completed a two-year residency in Health-System Pharmacy Administration at UNC Hospitals and a Master of Science Degree in Health-System Pharmacy at UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. Mary’s current responsibilities include inpatient and ambulatory operations, clinical pharmacy services, and regulatory and accreditation oversight for the campus. She also has pharmacy oversight for Talbot Hall, a comprehensive substance use disorder treatment center. Mary co-instructs PHR 8150 – Systems Issues with Medication Safety course and serves as a preceptor for the PGY1 and HSPAL programs. She feels passionately that every pharmacy leader is a leader in patient safety. She is active in professional organizations and her professional interests include medication safety, technology and automation, controlled substance and diversion prevention, employee engagement, and patient access to care. Outside of work Mary enjoys spending time exploring with her family, gardening and cooking.
Kriss Petrovskis
Dr. Kriss Petrovskis, PharmD, MS is the Director, Pharmacy Business Operations at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. In this role, he is responsible for the 340B Programs, sourcing, finance and revenue integrity across the health system. Prior to Ohio State Kriss served as Director, Pharmacy Business and Revenue Management at Duke University Health System from 2020 - 2024 and was the Clinical Manager, Pharmacy Supply Management at UNC Health from 2017-2020 where he was responsible for health system pharmacy supply chain operations including purchasing, distribution, repackaging, ADC replenishment, and code tray replenishment.
Dr. Petrovskis’ work has focused on enterprise pharmacy business strategy and financial management throughout the post-COVID-19 financial recovery. Some key achievements include 340B implementation of a new Covered Entity, navigating a HRSA 340B Program audit, developing operating budgets performing within 1% of targets, and implementing CMS drug waste billing requirements.
He is passionate about resident education, frequently precepting residents on rotation, and teaching in the MS-HSPAL Program. Dr. Petrovskis currently instructs PHR 8250 Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Principles for Health Systems.
Dr. Petrovskis completed a two-year residency in Health-System Pharmacy Administration at Nationwide Children's Hospital in May 2017. He completed a Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2015 and Master of Science in Health System Pharmacy Administration 2017, both from The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending quality time with family.
Patrick Helman
Dr. Patrick “Pat” Helman PharmD, MS graduated from Ohio Northern College of Pharmacy in 2016 and completed a PGY1/2 with a Master of Science in Health-System Pharmacy Administration with Comprehensive Pharmacy Solutions and The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy in 2018. Since then, Pat has served in several manager and director roles in inpatient pharmacies throughout central Ohio since 2018. His current position is the Pharmacy Site Manager at OhioHealth Grant Medical Center where he is also the HSPAL residency program coordinator. Pat’s teaching philosophy includes making sure the classroom experience provides real-world application of the problems one would expect to see in a health-system pharmacy leader role. The goal of those experiences is to help ease the transition of going from process-learner to process-owner. Pat serves as the instructor for PHR 8105 Health System Pharmacy Finance II: Application and Budget and co-instructor for PHR 8160 Operations Management in Health System Pharmacy. Pat’s personal hobbies include golf, soccer, and trips to the zoo with his wife and son.
Jennifer Booth
Dr. Jenn Booth, PharmD, MS, BCPS received her Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Doctor of Pharmacy, and Master of Science in Health-System Pharmacy Administration from The Ohio State University. Jenn completed her PGY1 Pharmacy & PGY2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership (HSPAL) Residency at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. She currently serves as an Assistant Director of Cancer Pharmacy Services at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – The James Cancer Hospital with oversight of seven outpatient oncology infusion pharmacies and one ambulatory surgery center. She currently serves as the Legal Affairs Director Elect for OSHP and serves on the ASHP Section of Pharmacy Practice Leaders – Section Advisory on Frontline Leaders. Jenn currently co-instructs PHR 8160: Operations Management in Health-System Pharmacy. Outside of work, Jenn enjoys traveling, running, biking, and hiking.
David Wai
Dr. David Wai, PharmD, MS, BCPS, earned his Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Doctor of Pharmacy, and Master of Science in Health-System Pharmacy Administration from The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy. He completed a PGY1/PGY2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership Residency at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. David is the Pharmacy Manager for Oncology Informatics and Investigational Build at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and serves as the instructor for PHR8120 - Information Systems in Health Systems Pharmacy. David leads the team responsible for building and managing oncology treatment plans and medication records in Epic Beacon, supporting both clinical care and research initiatives. David’s professional interests include EHR optimization, 340B program strategy, and building automated medication-use systems that support operational excellence and patient safety.
Marjorie Neidecker
Dr. Marjorie “Margie” Neidecker, PhD, Meng, RN, CCRP was the founding director of the online Master of Clinical Research (MCR) program and former co-director of the online MS Translational Pharmacology program at The Ohio State University. She is a Certified Clinical Research Professional and is serving a third term as Treasurer of the Consortium of Academic Programs in Clinical Research where university faculty, professional organizations, and industry professionals are working to harmonize the core competencies of clinical research professionals world-wide and to achieve accreditation pathways for academic programs offering degrees in clinical research. Her research interests include health outcomes studies and pharmacoeconomic analyses. She enjoys serving as a research project advisor for students in the MS Health Systems Pharmacy Administration and Leadership program. Prior to directing the MCR and MS Translational Pharmacology programs, Dr. Neidecker was a clinical research specialist in a phase 1 drug trial unit in the OSU College of Medicine and served as a health outcomes research consultant for Informagenics in Worthington, Ohio. Dr. Neidecker earned a PhD from the OSU College of Pharmacy with a focus on pharmaceutical outcomes research. She earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Industrial Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and a Master of Engineering in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from Cornell University.
Trisha Jordan
Dr. Trisha A. Jordan, PharmD, MS is currently the Chief Pharmacy Officer and Assistant Dean for Medical Center Affairs at the OSU College of Pharmacy. In her role, Trisha leads pharmacy services across the enterprise, with a focus on providing patient centered pharmacy care through innovation, education and research.
After completing undergraduate studies, Trisha received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Michigan and a Master’s degree in Health-System Pharmacy Administration from The Ohio State University. She also completed a pharmacy administration residency at Ohio State and earned a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification through the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University. Trisha co-instructs PHR 8170 Planning, Leading, and Managing the Pharmacy Enterprise.
Trisha’s professional goals have centered on improving patient care outcomes by creating advanced pharmacy practice models to improve the safety and efficacy in medication use. Her research focuses on pharmacy services and their effect on quality, safety, and cost in addition to the impact of the changing role of the pharmacist in health-systems. She is involved in professional pharmacy organizations and dedicates time to advocacy efforts at the state and national level.
Brianne Porter
Dr. Brianne Porter, PharmD, MS graduated with her PharmD in 2014 from The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy. She completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency in Ambulatory Care in 2015 and a two-year Academic Fellowship focused on Community Practice Advancement in 2017, both at The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy. She also completed her Master of Science in Health Systems Pharmacy Administration in 2017 at The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy. Upon completing her fellowship, Dr. Porter began her career as a faculty at The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy where she currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pharmacy. She teaches in both the Master of Science in Health Systems Pharmacy Administration and Leadership and Doctor of Pharmacy Programs, and her practice focus area is community-based pharmacy practice. In the MS-HSPAL program, Dr. Porter co-instructs PHR 8190 Outpatient Pharmacy Practice with Drs. Max Conrad and Cara Hoyt. As a graduate of the program, Dr. Porter is excited to engage with future leaders and support their development in outpatient pharmacy practice leadership. In her free time, she enjoys adventures with her family, tending to her flower gardens, and quiet early mornings.
Jason Lovero
Dr. Jason Lovero, PharmD, MS, MHA is an established pharmacy leader and educator with a proven track record in optimizing healthcare delivery and cultivating future pharmacy professionals. Currently serving at CPS Solutions, Jason has led pharmacy operations across diverse care settings, including community hospitals, large acute care centers, rehabilitation facilities, behavioral health institutions, and integrated health systems. In his current role as Senior Vice President of Pharmacy Services at CPS Solutions, Jason oversees strategic operations across a portfolio of acute and non-acute facilities nationwide. He leads a network of onsite pharmacy directors, drives client engagement and retention, and ensures financial performance, compliance, and clinical excellence across all accounts. His responsibilities span budget development, regulatory compliance, leadership mentoring, and operational optimization, which delivers consistent value to hospital executives and advances the role of pharmacy within health systems.
A dual graduate of The Ohio State University, Jason earned both his Master of Science (MS) in Health-System Pharmacy Administration from the College of Pharmacy and his Master of Health Administration (MHA) from the College of Public Health in 2011. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Houston College of Pharmacy in 2008.
Jason teaches in the MS in Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership (MS-HSPAL) program, where he developed and leads courses on Health-System Pharmacy Finance (PHR 8100) and Economic Evaluation (PHR 8180) of the Pharmacy Enterprise. His teaching focuses on equipping PGY1/PGY2 residents and working professionals with the financial acumen necessary to lead within complex healthcare environments.
Jason serves as the corporate MS-HSPAL Residency Program Coordinator at CPS Solutions, where he oversees the growth and development of pharmacy residents, fostering leadership, innovation, and patient-centered care. He is recognized for his strategic insight and empathetic leadership and excels at building scalable, outcomes-driven programs that bridge clinical practice and administrative excellence. His work continues to shape the future of pharmacy practice and education.
Lisa Mostafavifar
Dr. Lisa Mostafavifar, PharmD, MS, BCPS, BCNSP serves as an Associate Professor and Director of the Master of Science in Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership (MS HSPAL) Program at The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy. She provides strategic and administrative oversight for the MS HSPAL program and teaches multiple core courses, including PHR 8170 Planning, Leading, and Managing the Pharmacy Enterprise, PHR 8884 Seminar, and PHR 8500 Capstone in Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership. Dr. Mostafavifar also leads scholarship and collaborative efforts with residency partners including OhioHealth, Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Comprehensive Pharmacy Solutions, and The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from West Virginia University School of Pharmacy in 2008 and completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at West Virginia University Hospitals, followed by a PGY2 in Critical Care at Baptist Health South Florida.
Dr. Mostafavifar brings over 15 years of diverse pharmacy experience spanning clinical care, residency program leadership, and health-system operations. Prior to her current academic appointment, she served as Clinical Operations Pharmacy Manager at OhioHealth, where she led initiatives in staffing model transformation, critical care and women’s health service planning, and workforce development. She previously directed a PGY1 residency program at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital, where she worked with a multidisciplinary team of preceptors and supported the development of dozens of future practitioners. She also serves as an ASHP Guest Practitioner Surveyor for PGY1 and PGY1/2 HSPAL residency programs.
Her journey into leadership was fueled by a desire to grow professionally and make a broader impact within the pharmacy enterprise. After completing her MS HSPAL degree as a working professional, she applied her education to real-world leadership challenges, from responding to crises like facility disruptions and severe weather emergencies to launching flexible staffing models and driving culture change. Dr. Mostafavifar is passionate about mentoring others, facilitating personal and professional growth, and building a culture rooted in collaboration, accountability, and authenticity.
A strong advocate for the MS HSPAL program and its mission, Dr. Mostafavifar prioritizes expanding the network of residency site partners and deepening engagement with working professional students. She leverages her experience, alumni perspective, and strong relationships with healthcare organizations to drive program growth, enrich the student experience, and support graduates throughout their leadership journey.
Dr. Mostafavifar enjoys staying active through a variety of exercise routines, particularly outdoor activities when the weather allows. She is a sports enthusiast and a dedicated supporter of the Columbus Crew, as well as her three children who are active in soccer and golf. She and her husband also enjoy exploring new restaurants in Columbus and planning family vacations.
Max Conrad
Max Conrad, PharmD, MS earned his Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy in 2020, followed by a Master of Science (MS) in Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership (HSPAL) from Ohio State in 2022. He completed the PGY1/PGY2 Community-Based HSPAL residency program through Ohio State and Kroger Health from 2020 to 2022, with a focus on community-based pharmacy leadership.
Following residency, Max served as Pharmacy Manager at the Kroger Pharmacy in Circleville, Ohio. In 2023, he transitioned to his current role as Pharmacy Manager for the Mount Carmel Outpatient Pharmacy within the Mount Carmel Health System.
Max serves as a co-instructor in the PHR 8190 course. His commitment to teaching is rooted in his own experience as a student in the HSPAL program. He is passionate about mentoring the next generation of pharmacy leaders and emphasizes the importance of outpatient pharmacy leadership in the evolving healthcare landscape. He also advocates for the critical role that effective leadership plays in the advancement of the pharmacy profession.
Max lives in Columbus, Ohio, with his wife and two children. In his free time, he enjoys playing music, spending time with his family, and reading.
Cara Hoyt
Cara D. Hoyt, PharmD, received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Ohio Northern University in 2003 and a graduate of the Community/Ambulatory Care Residency at The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy. She is the Director of Experiential and Clinical Services Uptown Pharmacy, which is a community pharmacy located in Westerville, Ohio. In this setting she has direct patient care roles in patient centered dispensing and medication therapy management. She also works on clinical service development, such as immunizations, diabetes management, hormone replacement therapy, and research innovation. During her time at Uptown pharmacy, she has developed a PGY1 community residency site with The Ohio State University and has a role as primary preceptor in both the residency and APPE program. She is a certified lifestyle coach through the Diabetes Prevention Program as well as the diabetes care coordinator for the AADE accreditation for Uptown Pharmacy. Cara was the lead for Uptown Pharmacy in CPESN’s Team Ohio for the Community Pharmacy Foundation’s Flip the Pharmacy Initiative Cohort 2. Her interests are in educating the next generation of pharmacists and her patients, as well as being an innovator at Uptown Pharmacy to move the practice of community pharmacy forward.
Mitch Dorn
Mitch Dorn, PharmD, MS is the Assistant Director of Pharmacy Operations and Automation for the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. He received his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy. He completed a PGY1/PGY2 Health System Pharmacy Administration Residency at Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston-Salem, NC and received his Master of Science in Health-System Pharmacy Administration from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Mitch currently serves on the ASHP Section Advisory Group for Operations and Automation and has extensive automation experience with Swisslog, Pyxis, and Apoteca IV robotic automation. He is the co-instructor for PHR 8200 and PHR 8200 Operational Assessment of the Pharmacy Enterprise and his teaching philosophy is centered on creating an engaging, supportive, and practical learning environment where students are encouraged to think critically, apply knowledge to real-world situations, and develop a lasting understanding of key concepts. Mitch believes learning is most effective when it is interactive and relevant, so he strives to connect course content with practical applications that resonate with students’ current or future professional roles. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and young children, rooting for Cleveland sports teams, and DIY home projects.
John Vrontos
Dr. John Vrontos, Jr., PharmD, MS, is a Pharmacy Operations Manager at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital, where he serves as the PGY1/PGY2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership Residency Program Coordinator, leads the Pharmacy Intern Program, and oversees the Controlled Substance Management and Diversion Prevention Program. John received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Ohio State University College of Pharmacy and completed his PGY1/PGY2 with a Master of Science in Health-System Pharmacy Administration at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. He has over twenty years of management experience that includes both adult and pediatric acute care settings and ranges from an academic medical center to a national for-profit hospital operator. John has served as a Corporate Director of Pharmacy Performance Improvement and held health-system level roles in Supply Chain Management, Medical Affairs, and Business/Compliance/Learning services. John’s teaching philosophy focuses on supplementing didactic materials with real world experiences to drive interactive learning at both the individual and team level, and he serves as a co-instructor for PHR 8200 and PHR 8205 – Operations Assessment of the Pharmacy Enterprise. John’s personal hobbies include golf, coaching his daughters’ basketball teams, and enjoying time with his family and friends.
Shelly Morvay
Shelly Ickes Morvay, Pharm D, CPPS received her B.S. in Pharmacy and Non-Traditional PharmD degree from The Ohio State University and also completed an ASHP-accredited PGY1 Residency in Hospital Pharmacy Practice. Dr. Morvay worked in adult hospital pharmacy practice for 10 years before becoming a Medication Safety Pharmacist at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Dr. Morvay completed the ASHP/ISMP Medication Safety Certificate and is a Certified Professional in Patient Safety. Dr. Moray serves as a co-instructor for PHR 8150 Systems Issues in Medication Safety.
