BridgeRx Summer Program

A free, one-week summer bridge experience designed to help admitted Pell-eligible or first-generation college students transition successfully.

The BridgeRx Summer Program is a free, one-week experience designed to help admitted Pell-eligible or first-generation college students make a successful transition into The Ohio State University’s Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences (BSPS) program.

Summer bridge programs have been shown to boost academic confidence, ease the transition to college life and improve student retention by offering early exposure to coursework and campus resources. Ohio State's BridgeRx Summer Program builds on these proven benefits by creating an environment where students can strengthen skills and gain familiarity with the university before the fall semester begins. It provides an early introduction to the academic expectations and support systems available within the College of Pharmacy.

Throughout the week, participants will engage in daily classes, seminars and community-building activities that support college readiness, with an emphasis on chemistry. Students will live on campus at no cost, with housing, meals and program materials fully provided.

The program is open exclusively to Pell-eligible, first-generation college students admitted to the BSPS program.
