Improve the health of local to global communities through our education, practice, service, and research.
1 Enhance advocacy, practice advancement and community engagement by building synergy among internal programs and external collaborations.
- Convene key stakeholders in Ohio to set statewide priorities on policy and practice advancement.
- Continue support of advancement in state and federal legislation to promote patient access to pharmacist-provided care.
2 Formalize training for pharmacy students to meet the needs of underserved/vulnerable communities.
- Create domestic immersive learning trips to Southeast Ohio and urban Ohio.
- Enhance and expand learning opportunities in urban and rural underserved communities.
3 Initiate and foster relationships with key players, including legislative, professional, community-based organizations and public health.
- Foster and expand novel collaborations based upon foundations of OSU Extension and existing networks that address public health challenges in Ohio.
- Become the partner of choice for outreach, engagement and policy to affect change.
