College of Pharmacy honors graduating PhD students with luncheon

May 8, 2026

On May 7, graduating PhD students and their advisors gathered at The Ohio State University Faculty Club for a luncheon to celebrate the PhD graduates. Also in attendance were Deanna Kroetz, PhD, BS Pharm '85, dean of the College of Pharmacy, and Jim Fuchs, PhD, associate dean for research and graduate studies.

Graduating students included Lillian Cool in the Peterson Research Group, Ben Haines in the Mitton-Fry Lab, Sara Neiheisel and Korydwen Terrasson in the Rakotondraibe Lab and Nistha Shrestha, who worked with Yu-Jung “Jenny” Wei, PhD, associate professor of pharmaceutics and pharmacology.

Students received a plaque which states their name, the degree they earned and the semester of graduation. This plaque serves as a small token from the college for completing the degree.
