As part of Ohio State’s ongoing modernization of BuckID access controls, the legacy magnetic stripe card readers on the Xeroxes in Parks and Riffe will be upgraded between May 18 and mid-June with more secure contactless “tap” readers.

On May 9, Bachelor of Science of Pharmaceutical Sciences (BSPS) students graduating or matriculating to the PharmD program this fall were invited to attend the 2026 BSPS Milestone Celebration.

On Friday, May 8, graduating P4 students gathered in the Dr. Robert J. and Barbara B. Weber Pharmacy Classroom for a special awards luncheon recognizing their achievements.

On May 7, graduating PhD students and their advisors gathered at The Ohio State University Faculty Club for a luncheon to celebrate the PhD graduates.

The 11th Annual College of Pharmacy Alumni Society Pharmathon 5K was held on April 26.

PharmD students Nicole Kurtz, Class of 2027, and Briana Fitzgerald, Class of 2028, presented a poster at the 2026 Ohio Pharmacists Association (OPA) Annual Conference & Trade Show highlighting work conducted at La Clínica Latina.

The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy hosted a Donor Impact Celebration and Open House for the Vrable Center for Pharmacy Excellence on April 24.

In December 2024, Nicole Kwiek, PhD, senior associate dean for academic affairs and educational innovation and clinical professor, and Leslie Newman, PhD, assistant dean for undergraduate studies and assistant professor of practice, approached Class of 2027 PharmD student Ashley Swisshelm about the need for a course that would discuss the transition from the BSPS program to the PharmD program.

The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new second-floor seating area on April 24.

On April 23, Jeff Johnston, PhD '02, senior lecturer, was presented with the P1 Teacher of the Year Award during a surprise visit.
