Admissions FAQs
Our No. 4-ranked Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program requires a bachelor’s degree for admission, and most students complete their BSPS and PharmD degrees in 7-8 years. However, we do offer a combined degree program that shortens your time to degree by one year, so you would finish both degrees in seven years.
If you are interested in exploring a six-year option, please contact our team and we can work with you to create a plan.
ScholarshipUniverse is Ohio State’s one-stop shop for scholarships and it is open until March 1, so be sure to apply soon. Scholarships and financial aid packages will be released in the spring.
You can find more information about the cost of attendance for undergraduate students here and PharmD here.
If you are a domestic non-Ohio resident, please note that the out-of-state tuition surcharge will automatically reduce to $5 per semester after your first year in the professional program.
Yes! BSPS students are encouraged to get involved with research through a lab in the College of Pharmacy. Just look at current BSPS student Levi Steenrod! Our academic and career advisors can assist students in making connections with faculty.
There are also opportunities to engage in research through summer fellowship programs like SURF or CREATES.
We’d love it if you lived in our Pharmacy Living Learning Community, but it is not required. Morrison Tower is nestled in the center of campus near all the action, and you will live with students who have similar interests and have the opportunity to make connections.
You can explore all residence halls and learning communities to find the best fit for you. Ohio State students are required to live on campus for their first and second years, but there are exceptions for students who live in Central Ohio.
