Dan Michel, PhD, and Bella Blankenship, PharmD, from the Division of Pharmacy Practice and Science received a $10,000 grant from the Office of Undergraduate Education to establish a pharmacy undergraduate research program at the Center of Science and Industry (COSI).

Dr. Blake Peterson's research team was recently published in the Journal of the American Chemical Society (JACS)

Julie Legg, PharmD ’96, BS ’92, director of experiential education and assistant professor-practice, and Alexa Valentino, PharmD, MBA, BCACP, FAPhA, director of BuckIPE curriculum and associate professor-clinical at The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy have been named Distinguished Fellows of the National Academies of Practice (NAP) in Pharmacy.

Kelsey Kresser Schmuhl, Steven Nagel, Ross Tamburro, Emily Gilbert and Jon Sprague recently presented their work on designing, developing and assessing the Ohio Attorney General’s interprofessional program on Opioid Use Disorder at the NAAG Capital Forum meeting in Washington, DC.

The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center oral drug repository program was one of six national recipients of the Best Practices Award at the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting.

Silvaroli was formally recognized at the forum’s annual awards ceremony at the University of Cambridge on Nov. 6. The award includes $10,000 to be dedicated toward further research on CDKL5 deficiency disorder.

Third-year PharmD candidate Rachel Hopper was selected for the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) ACT Pharmacy Collaborative Student Scholar Leaders Program.

Dr. Tony Gerlach, a member of the PPS division, has been re-elected to an at-large seat on the Society of Critical Care Medicine Council. Dr. Gerlach will serve a three-year term beginning in 2024.

Nick Denton who was selected to receive a 2023 Social Learning Innovator award in the category of Health and Science.
