Liva Rakotondraibe, PhD, associate professor in the Division of Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacognosy, College of Pharmacy, was invited to present his research titled "Strategies for Selecting and Prioritizing Californian and Madagascan Species for Bioactive Compounds" at the 2026 Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Pharmacognosy (JSP) in Sapporo, Japan.

Athens County resident Sarah Adkins, RPh, PharmD '10, BCACP, College of Pharmacy alumna and preceptor, was among seven Appalachian Ohioans honored as 2026 Jenco Award recipients during an Oct. 8 ceremony hosted by the Jenco Foundation and the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio (FAO) at the Tecumseh Theater.

Class of 2027 PharmD candidate Miranda Luxenburg recently received the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) Best Student Poster Award for her poster titled "Evaluating the Effect of Pharmacy Student Participation in Medication Reconciliation on Value‑Based Care Metrics: Emphasis on 30‑Day Readmission Rates​."
