State Rep. Tim Barhorst visits College of Pharmacy

On Jan. 29, State Representative Tim Barhorst (R-Fort Laramie) visited The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy for a discussion on pharmacy policy in Ohio with students and faculty. 

Rep. Barhorst has introduced two pieces of legislation related to the practice and delivery of pharmacy services: HB192, which would address transparency issues and Pharmacy Benefit Managers, and HB629, which would allow pharmacists to test and treat certain common diseases. 

The visit was organized by the Ohio State Chapter of the American Pharmacists Association Academy of Student Pharmacists (APA-ASP), whose members participated in a robust conversation with Rep. Barhorst about the proposed legislation and the future of pharmacy practice in Ohio.
