SSHP Clinical Skills Competition winners advance to state and national competitions
The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy's Student Society of Health-System Pharmacists (SSHP) held its 2026 Clinical Skills Competition on Sept. 30, challenging student pharmacists to apply their clinical knowledge and patient care skills in a practice scenario.
This year's winners are:
- 1st place: Ashley Swisshelm and Priyasha Bose
- 2nd place: Lyuba Benin and Aleena Shaikh
- 3rd place: Alex Azarov and Sam Apple
- Top P1 Team: Alyssa Manas & Sara Gundler
- Top P2 Team: Marissa Wise & Katherine Boylin
- Top P3 Team: Alex Azarov + Sam Apple
The competition consisted of a two-hour written patient care plan followed by a 10-minute oral question-and-answer session. Winners will advance to represent the College of Pharmacy at both the state and national Clinical Skills Competitions at the Midyear Clinical Meeting & Exhibition in December in Orlando.
