Pharmacy Buckeyes take home Ohio Society of Health-System Pharmacy (OSHP) awards
The Ohio Society of Health-System Pharmacy (OSHP) hosted the 2025 Annual Meeting in Newark, Ohio, on October 24 and 25. The event was held at the Ohio Event Center, located at the Cherry Valley Hotel and included a ceremony that honored outstanding achievements by the organization's members.
Of 14 awardees, several distinguished recipients were past graduates or are affiliated with The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy.
Michael Ganio received the Walter M. Frazier Award - awarded to individuals who demonstrate sustained exemplary service in health-system and community service.
Stephen Polley received the Timothy D. Moore Pharmacy Manager Award - awarded to a health-system pharmacist who has demonstrated significant managerial performance in the delivery of pharmacy services in a health-system institution.
Tiffany Winslow received the Pharmacy Stars™ Shining Star Compounding Technician Award - awarded to a pharmacy technician who has demonstrated dedication to patient safety and advancing the role of pharmacy technicians in Ohio.
Hannah Thornton received the Emerging Leader Award - awarded to a pharmacist within the first 5 years after graduation who has demonstrated exemplary pharmacy practice leadership and engagement with OSHP or other professional organizations
OSUCCC - James Palliative Pharmacist Team received the Best Practice Advancement Success Award - awarded to Ohio health systems that have demonstrated pharmacy practice advancements in accordance with the American Society of Health‐System Pharmacists (ASHP) Practice Advancement Initiative (PAI).
