New position: Director of Teaching, Learning and Educational Technology

The director of teaching, learning and educational technology provides leadership for the College of Pharmacy's instructional support enterprise, ensuring that faculty and academic programs receive coordinated, high-quality support across all teaching modalities and educational programs. The director oversees a multidisciplinary team responsible for instructional design, educational technology, course operations and accessibility services. 

In partnership with faculty, program directors and college leadership, the director establishes strategic priorities, allocates resources, and advances initiatives that strengthen teaching effectiveness, learning experiences and educational innovation.

Core Duties

• Provides strategic leadership and oversight for the new Office of Teaching, Learning, and Educational Technology.
• Leads college efforts related to educational technology, in-person and online learning, digital accessibility, AI-related instructional initiatives, and course quality.
• Establishes the office's vision, priorities, service portfolio, and annual work plan in alignment with college goals.
• Supervises and develops professional staff across learning design, educational coordination, and accessibility functions.
• Manages project prioritization, resource allocation, and workload distribution.
• Partners with academic leadership, faculty, IT, Ohio State Online, and university support offices to advance instructional quality and innovation.
• Monitors and assesses office performance, communicate outcomes, and lead continuous improvement efforts.
