New faces: Dr. Jennifer Sabatino '09, newly appointed PGY2 Ambulatory Care Residency Program Director
Welcoming Jennifer Sabatino, PharmD, BS '09, BCACP, newly appointed PGY2 Ambulatory Care Residency Program Director. Dr. Sabatino serves as a specialty practice pharmacist with the Ohio State University Physicians Inc, practicing within both the Ohio State Division of General Internal Medicine clinics and the Ohio State Virtual Care Center, and holds an assistant professor of practice appointment within the Department of Internal Medicine.
Since completing her PGY1 and PGY2 residency training in ambulatory care at The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy and University Health Connection, Dr. Sabatino has built a career advancing pharmacist-led primary care services with particular expertise in technology-enabled chronic disease management including remote physiologic monitoring. Her work in this area has helped shape statewide resources for pharmacy service implementation, contributed to national conversations on the pharmacist’s role in digital health, and has been recognized with the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists Foundation Pinnacle Team Award and multiple institutional awards celebrating teamwork and innovation.
Dr. Sabatino has been deeply involved in residency education within the College of Pharmacy program for the last decade, serving as a PGY1 and PGY2 preceptor and PGY2 site coordinator for General Internal Medicine. She enjoys guiding residents through the complexities of ambulatory care, always emphasizing curiosity, collaboration and patient-centered problem-solving.
As RPD, Dr. Sabatino is committed to cultivating a dynamic learning environment that prepares residents to lead in evolving ambulatory care settings, drive practice advancement, and overcome barriers to deliver high-impact patient care.
