Molly Downing and Niciole Kwiek present their AI journey at Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) Celebration of Health Professionals and Education

On Nov. 17, Molly Downing, PhD, Assistant Professor of Practice in the Division of Pharmacy Education and Innovation at The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy, and Nicole C. Kwiek, PhD, Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Educational Innovation and Professor-Clinical in the College of Pharmacy, presented at the annual Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) Celebration of Health Professionals and Education. 

Their presentation, titled “The AI Journey: Lessons Learned from Institutional Implementation,” explored the process of identifying and achieving specific charges within both the Exploratory and Implementation phases of AI integration in academic and clinical settings. Presentations were held in a hybrid format—virtually and in person—in the Great Hall of the Ohio Union. This biannual event is open to faculty and clinical affiliates across the colleges of medicine, pharmacy, graduate studies and dentistry, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation in health sciences education.
