Melanie Ruzga awarded USPHS Excellence in Public Health Pharmacy Award

Rising P3 student Melanie Ruzga has been awarded the USPHS Excellence in Public Health Pharmacy Award. This prestigious honor recognizes pharmacy students who make significant contributions to public health. Ruzga's achievements align with the objectives of Healthy People 2030 and the Surgeon General’s priorities.

The award, which acknowledges the importance of incorporating core public health principles into pharmacy practice, was given to 89 students nationwide this year. The U.S. Public Health Service strives to have an officer present the award to recipients when feasible.
