Madison Kearns receives SPPCP Hospice & Palliative Care Research Forum Best Presentation Award

Rising fourth-year PharmD student Madison Kearns was one of two presenters awarded best presentation out of 13 presenters (11 pharmacists and 2 student presenters) at the Society of Pain & Palliative Care Pharmacists (SPPCP) Virtual Research Forum and Conference on May 21.

Through her internship at the OSUCCC – James, Kearns completed a clinical rotation with the Pain and Palliative Pharmacy team and began a research project titled, “Accuracy of Oral Fluid Opioid & Benzodiazepine Monitoring in Palliative Cancer Patients,” which she presented in the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting poster presentation in December 2023.
