Jill Patel wins 2025 Society of Pain and Palliative Care Pharmacists Clinical Skills Competition

In November, PharmD candidate Jill Patel won the 2025 Society of Pain and Palliative Care Pharmacists Clinical Skills Competition. This virtual competition, hosted by the Society of Pain and Palliative Care Pharmacists, tested the skills and knowledge of participants by presenting a patient case. Competitors answered questions on medication safety, assessed pain management and utilized counseling skills. 

"It translated what we learned in class during our P3 year to real-life practice, and I felt very well prepared to tackle the case," Patel said. "Palliative care is something I’m very interested in, and I could see myself being a palliative pharmacist in the future."
