Generation Rx student organization provides medication safety education at community event
August 15, 2025
On August 9, Kelista Tabar, president of the student organization Generation Rx, participated in the African American Male Wellness Agency’s Black Men’s Wellness Day—an event open to all members of the community. Tabar was joined by Cecily King, a community outreach analyst with the Wexner Medical Center who works with Project DAWN (Deaths Avoided With Naloxone).
Together, they provided community care and medication safety education and distributed harm-reduction tools to hundreds of attendees. Throughout the day, they dispensed 192 naloxone kits and approximately 600 fentanyl test strips, helping equip community members with resources to prevent overdose and promote safer practices.
