April 6, 2026

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has recently updated guidance for industry on the measurement of patient preferences. In the updated guidance, the FDA cites the work of doctoral student Nicola Campoamor that established and demonstrated best practices for pretesting such survey instruments.

This pioneering piece was completed as part of NIH-funded research conducted in partnership with Baylor University (R01HG011268) with mentorship from Drs. Norah Crossnohere and John F. P. Bridges.

Campoamor is a second-year PhD candidate at the College of Pharmacy and a graduate research assistant in the Department of Biomedical Informatics.
