The China Gateway, established in 2010 and located in Shanghai, helps The Ohio State University remain connected to alumni and friends in the region. Recently, the gateway connected four alumni who currently work at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) and had never met.
Pharmacy alumna Yonger Xue, PhD ’23, was introduced to Ke Chen, PhD, materials science and engineering; Liang Yuan, PhD, electrical and computer engineering; and Ying Zu, PhD, astronomy. Though each alum had never met before, they shared memories of football games in the 'Shoe, activities across campus and more.
