Dr. Victoria Williams receives Miriam R. Balshone Award for Distinguished Teaching in PharmD

April 9, 2026

On April 9, Victoria Williams, PharmD '19, assistant professor - clinical, entered a classroom in the Vrable Center for Pharmacy Excellence with the intent to offer pharmacy-related insight to students. Upon her arrival stood faculty, students and Dean Deanna L. Kroetz, PhD, BS Pharm '85. It was then that Dr. Williams realized the students had set up a ploy for something much different.

To her surprise, Dr. Williams was informed that she had received the Miriam R. Balshone Award for Distinguished Teaching in PharmD. Each year, graduating P4 students vote for a deserving recipient of the Balshone award, which recognizes an educator at the College of Pharmacy who is deeply rooted in student success.

Dr. Williams will be formally recognized at the 2026 Doctoral Convocation Hooding and Awards Ceremony on May 9.
