Alumna Divya Abraham Varkey, PharmD, MS '06, has been elected as president-elect designee of the Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacy (TSHP) for 2026.
Dr. Varkey is a clinical associate professor at the University of Houston College of Pharmacy, where she has served for the last decade. She is also the graduate program director for the MS in Pharmacy Leadership and Administration.
Since 2017, Dr. Varkey has received many awards from the TSHP. Her most recent awards included the 2023 Tipton Leadership Award and the 2023 Pharmacy Mentor Award.
Her installation as president-elect and president will be conducted at the 2027 and 2028 TSHP Annual Seminar meetings.
