Dr. Casey May receives SCCM Ohio Chapter 2025 Clinical Excellence Award

The Ohio Chapter of the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM Ohio Chapter) has named Casey May, PharmD, BCCCP, FNCS, clinical associate professor in the Division of Pharmacy Practice and Science, as the recipient of its 2025 Clinical Excellence Award.

In addition to her faculty role at The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy, Dr. May serves as a neurocritical care specialty practice pharmacist at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, where she delivers innovative, patient-centered care to critically ill patients with neurologic injuries. 

Established by the SCCM Ohio Chapter, the Clinical Excellence Award recognizes critical care professionals who have made significant contributions to the organization and the advancement of critical care practice.

In recognizing Dr. May, the chapter remarked, "She has gone above and beyond to push the profession forward, bring others along with her, and prove that pharmacists are not limited to only a hospital, teaching, research, or mentorship role, but that it is possible to do all this and more."
