Dean Kroetz provides testimony on pharmacist screening bill

On Feb. 18, College of Pharmacy Dean Deanna Kroetz, PhD, BS Pharm '85, submitted written proponent testimony on behalf of the Council of Ohio Colleges of Pharmacy (COCP) in her role as chair, for Senate Bill 230 during its second hearing before the Ohio Senate Health Committee. 

SB 230 authorizes a pharmacist to conduct screenings and tests and provide treatment for specified respiratory health conditions, including influenza and COVID-19. In her testimony, Dr. Kroetz emphasized the bill's impact on strengthening Ohio's health care delivery system while improving access to quality care for Ohioans, particularly in underserved areas.
