David Matthews receives Balshone Award
Assistant Dean of PharmD Studies and Associate Professor, David Matthews, PharmD, BCACP, received the Miriam R. Balshone Award for Distinguished Teaching in PharmD on April 8.
The Miriam R. Balshone Award for Distinguished Teaching in PharmD is the premier instructor award that recognizes a full-time or part-time faculty member who exemplifies the following:
1. Fair in testing & grading, clear course objectives & expectations
2. Organized material presented in a clear & understandable fashion
3. Lectures in a style conducive to learning, stimulates thinking & interest in subject matter
4. Demonstrates a willingness to solve student problems
5. Respects student views & opinions
The recipient of the Balshone Award is selected by the current class of P4 students.
