College of Pharmacy members clean up riverfront for Earth Day
From Parks Hall to the Olentangy River Trail, College of Pharmacy members collected and disposed of litter on April 22 for Earth Day.
This event was organized by the Staff Advisory Council (SAC) to celebrate Earth Day and contribute to a cleaner environment. Before the event began, SAC provided water, sunscreen and supplies at the check-in station. The volunteers, made up of College of Pharmacy faculty, staff and residents, then cleaned around the building and moved to the Olentangy River Trail, picking up trash along the way.
"Earth Day is a great chance for the College of Pharmacy community and SAC to step outside the usual routine and come together for something bigger than ourselves," said Jessica Costic, graduate program manager and 2025-2026 SAC co-chair. "It’s nice to gather with colleagues to give back, working side-by-side to care for the spaces around Parks Hall and the Olentangy River and support a cleaner, healthier environment we all share."
