College goes red for women's heart health
February 9, 2026
The month of February marks American Heart Month, a time to raise awareness for cardiovascular disease, promote healthy lifestyles and encourage prevention of heart-related conditions.
On Feb. 6, individuals from the College of Pharmacy gathered in the Riffe Lobby to showcase their red attire in support of National Wear Red Day. Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the leading cause of death for women in the United States, according to the American Heart Association. By "going red," individuals help raise awareness of women's number one killer.
