Career Exploration Series welcomes Christina Barnes, PharmD, BS '97
On September 18, the College of Pharmacy welcomed Christina Barnes, PharmD, BS ’97, as the featured speaker for the monthly Career Exploration Series.
The Career Exploration Series gives students the opportunity to hear from and connect with alumni in an intimate classroom setting. Each month, alumni representing a variety of career paths share their professional journeys, offer advice and answer students’ questions about careers in pharmacy.
Drawing on nearly three decades of experience, Dr. Barnes shared insights from her career across multiple practice settings, including independent community pharmacy and ambulatory care. She reflected on the professional and personal lessons she learned along the way, discussed the foundations that helped her succeed in each role and offered practical financial and career advice to students preparing for their own futures in the profession.
