Doctor of Pharmacy Class of 2030 White Coat Ceremony
About This Event
The White Coat Ceremony marks the official entry of the Class of 2030 into the College of Pharmacy’s Doctor of Pharmacy Program. The program will feature distinguished speakers, the onstage presentation of the White Coat, and a collective recitation of the Student Pledge of Professionalism, signifying the class’s commitment to the values of the pharmacy profession.
Parking
Self-parking at an hourly rate is available at the Ohio Union South Parking Garage at 1759 N. High Street, just south of the Timashev Family Music Building.
On this day, College Road will be closed in both directions between 12th Avenue and Hagerty Drive. Access to the Ohio Union South Garage will be available from the north via southbound College Road or High Street in both directions. Attendees with limited mobility may be dropped-off and picked-up from the southwest Timashev entrance along College Road closest to The Oval. Accessible parking spaces are designated within the Ohio Union South Garage.
Seating
Students may invite up to four guests to attend. To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for everyone, additional tickets and waitlists will not be available.
Enter the Timashev Family Music Building’s southwest entrance. Doors to Weigel Hall will open at 3 p.m. for guest seating, which is general admission on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Students will report directly to the Music Ensemble Rehearsal Room inside Timashev by 3:30pm.
- Guests should be in their seats before 4 p.m. for the class processional into the auditorium.
Accessibility Accommodations
We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals, including individuals with disabilities, to engage fully. This event will be presented with live captioning. Wheelchair accessible seating is available in the rear of the auditorium and is accessible via the building elevator.

Attire
Business casual attire is appropriate for students and guests. For students, the length of dresses and skirts should be no higher than just above the knee, in accordance with professional student appearance standards.
Livestream
We encourage those unable to attend the in-person event to watch via livestream, which will begin on Friday, August 21 at 4 p.m. EST and will be recorded for post-event viewing.
