Alison Axtman, PhD, will join the College of Pharmacy for the upcoming installment of the Dean's Seminar Series. Dr. Axtman will deliver a talk: "Expanding the portfolio of cellular target engagement assays for understudied proteins," hosted by Dr. Alex Sparreboom and Dr. Navjot Pabla. 

Dr. Axtman is a synthetic medicinal chemist with over 10 years of research experience working at the interface of chemistry and biology. She earned her PhD in Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Kansas and carried out her post-doctoral training in the Department of Chemistry at Stanford University. Her research has focused on the synthesis of small molecules that selectively modulate proteins implicated in disease-propagating pathways.
