2027 Milap Nahata Distinguished Lecture featuring John A. Armitstead '82

John A. Armitstead, MS '82, vice president of pharmacy services at Lee Health, will deliver the 2027 Milap Nahata Distinguished Lecture, titled "This Is Our Moment: Leading the Next Era of Health-System Pharmacy."
John obtained an MS in hospital and clinical pharmacy from The Ohio
State University in 1982 and completed a pharmacy residency at Riverside Methodist Hospitals in Columbus, Ohio. He received a BS in Pharmacy from Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio.
John is responsible for strategic planning, financial management, direction and coordination of pharmacy care provision in a five-hospital, three-skilled nursing facility and county-wide ambulatory health system with a $350 million budget, including 480 pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. Over 280 new pharmacy practice positions have been initiated through innovative business plans.
John is a past president of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, the Ohio Society of Health System Pharmacists and the Kentucky Society of Health System Pharmacists.
This lectureship was launched in honor of Dr. Milap Nahata in 2012 to bring distinguished scholars to campus and inspire our faculty, residents, fellows, students, and alumni to advance clinical pharmacy research, education and practice.
