The following information applies to both current Ohio State students switching into BSPS from a different major, OR current college students transferring to Ohio State from another institution.
To transfer into the BSPS program, you must have at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA.
Please watch the BSPS Transfer Overview video to learn how to transfer into the BSPS major. There will be specific instructions at the end of the transfer overview that explain what you need to do to change your major.
Current Ohio State students: If you are a current Ohio State student and interested in changing into the BSPS major, or you want to learn more about the Pharmaceutical Sciences minor, please email COP-BSPSInfo@osu.edu and an undergraduate advisor will reach out to you about next steps.
Prospective Ohio State students: If you are in the process of applying to Ohio State and you’d like to join the BSPS major, please email cop-admissions@osu.edu and our BSPS Recruiter will contact you about next steps. You can also make an appointment with them here.

Please refer to the Ohio State transfer credit website for more information.
- A final official transcript with grades posted must be sent to The Ohio State University. Please do not send transcripts directly to the College of Pharmacy. Unofficial transcripts will not be accepted.
- Once the Registrar's Office has processed your transcript, your transfer credit will appear on your transfer credit report. Please review it carefully and reach out to COP-BSPSInfo@osu.edu if you have questions.
- If credits are posted as direct equivalents, you do not need to take further action.
- Questions about how a directly equivalent course will apply toward degree requirements should be directed to an academic advisor through COP-BSPSInfo@osu.edu.
- If credits are posted as General (ex: PHR G000.01) or Special (ex: PHR S000.01), further evaluation will be needed.
- General credit is awarded when there may be an equivalent course at Ohio State, but the Transfer Credit Center is unable to make that determination
- General credit coursework must be further evaluated by the appropriate academic department, otherwise it will not be applied toward your degree.
- Special credit is awarded when a direct course equivalency does not exist at Ohio State. Students should consult their college/department to determine if special credit may be used to fulfill degree requirements.
- General credit is awarded when there may be an equivalent course at Ohio State, but the Transfer Credit Center is unable to make that determination
- Review course options with your academic advisor before you register at another institution to ensure that the course will transfer and that it will meet your needs.
- Visit the Transfer Course Equivalency Information website to search for course equivalencies on your own.
- If a course is not listed, you may request a pre-evaluation from the appropriate department.
