Biography
Dr. Lahrman is an assistant professor of clinical pharmacy in the Division of Pharmacy Practice and Science at The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Cincinnati and completed a two-year residency focused on community pharmacy leadership and management with Kroger Health and the University of Cincinnati. During her residency, she completed a Masters in Pharmaceutical Sciences with an emphasis in health outcomes. Her thesis work with Dr. Pamela Heaton focused on the warm handoff between ambulatory care pharmacists and community pharmacists to improve continuity of care.
Her current practice site is O’Bleness Family Medicine Residency Clinic, which is an ambulatory care practice site located in Athens Ohio near Ohio University. She works under a collaborative practice agreement for diabetes, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia. In addition to seeing patients, she precepts with physician residents to help them navigate safe and effective medication use. In her previous academic appointment, she was shared faculty with Shrivers Pharmacy and Wellness which is an independent community pharmacy. While there she worked to develop patient care services such as travel health vaccines.
