Doctor of Pharmacy students Anitha Natarajan and Maya Subedi were selected as 2026-2027 Columbus-Athens Schweitzer Fellows.

Jabez Biosciences, Inc., a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing novel therapies targeting cancer metabolism, today announced the presentation of first-in-human pharmacokinetic (PK) and pharmacodynamic (PD) data from the ongoing Phase 1 clinical trial of JBZ-001 (HOSU-53) at the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Annual Meeting 2026. The poster, titled "Clinical Pharmacokinetic and Pharmacodynamic of JBZ-001 (HOSU-53): Comparison of First-in-Human Data with Translational Preclinical Predictions," was presented by investigators from The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute (OSUCCC – James) and the START Center for Cancer Research.

As part of Ohio State’s ongoing modernization of BuckID access controls, the legacy magnetic stripe card readers on the Xeroxes in Parks and Riffe will be upgraded between May 18 and mid-June with more secure contactless “tap” readers.

On Friday, May 8, graduating P4 students gathered in the Dr. Robert J. and Barbara B. Weber Pharmacy Classroom for a special awards luncheon recognizing their achievements.

On May 7, graduating PhD students and their advisors gathered at The Ohio State University Faculty Club for a luncheon to celebrate the PhD graduates.

Dr. Schmuhl obtained her Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration and is now authorized to prescribe controlled substances — a major step forward for pharmacist-led medication management in Ohio and nationally.

The 11th Annual College of Pharmacy Alumni Society Pharmathon 5K was held on April 26.
