The Office of Academic Affairs is pleased to announce that the President and Provost’s Leadership Institute (PPLI) is being relaunched with three programs that support emerging leaders who are interested in both informal and formal leadership roles in academia.

In December 2024, Nicole Kwiek, PhD, senior associate dean for academic affairs and educational innovation and clinical professor, and Leslie Newman, PhD, assistant dean for undergraduate studies and assistant professor of practice, approached Class of 2027 PharmD student Ashley Swisshelm about the need for a course that would discuss the transition from the BSPS program to the PharmD program.

The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new second-floor seating area on April 24.

On April 23, Jeff Johnston, PhD '02, senior lecturer, was presented with the P1 Teacher of the Year Award during a surprise visit.

A team made up of four P3 students, Sam Castelli, Molly Fitzsimmons, Eli Gardner and Lia Rubinelli, won first place in the Self-Care Student Pharmacist Challenge at this year's Ohio Pharmacists Association (OPA) Annual Conference & Trade Show.
