1 Implement evidence-based curricular changes in our undergraduate, professional, and graduate programs that consider the current and future educational landscape.

  • Revise math and problem-solving instruction in the BSPS program and share math learning resources with PharmD students in need of support.
  • Apply evidence-based processes to address curricular overload in the PharmD program.
  • Enhance interdisciplinary training in the PhD program.
  • Support learning by faculty, staff and students to appropriately and effectively leverage AI technology.

2 Enhance and expand certificates, specializations and combined degree programs for diverse learners and working professionals.

  • Evaluate and build new combined degree programs.
  • Create and deliver new micro-credential offerings.
  • Incorporate elective tracks and/or embedded certificates within the PharmD curriculum.

3 Strengthen our students’ professional preparation.

  • Prepare students to enter industry and other non-direct patient care roles.
  • Increase students' exposure to and participation in cutting-edge research.
  • Expand strategies to develop students’ critical thinking and knowledge application skills in the BSPS and PharmD curricula.

4 Provide learner support that enhances well-being, belonging, resiliency and personalized success.

  • Enhance peer mentoring that emphasizes belonging in the BSPS, PharmD and PhD programs.
  • Increase students' awareness of and engagement in support resources.

5 Build and promote matriculation pathways into all programs to ensure a student body that represents the State of Ohio.

  • Expand enrollment in Early Assurance Programs at new and existing partner institutions.
  • Promote training opportunities with regional campuses, community colleges, and historically black colleges and universities.
  • Increase pharmacy career awareness in precollege student populations.
