21-Day Challenge: Strategies for Having Difficult Conversations
As part of the college’s commitment to the professional development of employees, you are invited to participate in the inaugural 21-Day Challenge through the Office of Inclusive Excellence!
This voluntary learning opportunity provides a semi-structured shared experience through which everyone can engage in continued learning about a timely topic. For the first year of this annual offering, the subject is Strategies for Having Difficult Conversations.
The 21-Day Challenge format is based on research showing that it takes 21 days to form a habit. The idea is to devote a small portion of your workday to learning about a key issue to develop the habit of thinking about and working on skills related to the central theme. The attached PowerPoint slides provide a daily breakdown that includes multiple options for content focus and delivery modality (for example, reading, watching, or listening to a linked resource) so that you can tailor this experience to your interests and needs.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask Z Tenney, MPA, MEd, Chief Inclusive Excellence Officer, at tenney.39@osu.edu.
