The Bridge Rx Scholars Program is a free, one-week summer bridge experience designed to help admitted, Pell-eligible, or first-generation students transition successfully into The Ohio State University’s Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences (BSP
Taking place on campus from August 17–21, 2026, the program offers daily classes, seminars, and community-building activities focused on strengthening college readiness, especially in chemistry, while fostering a sense of belonging and connection with peers, faculty, and staff.
Summer bridge programs are proven to boost academic confidence, ease the transition to college life, and improve retention by providing early exposure to coursework and campus resources. Participants will live on campus at no cost, with all lodging, meals, and materials provided. This program is exclusively for students admitted to the BSPS program, and applications can be submitted through the College of Pharmacy’s admissions team.

Move-in:
- Residence Halls Early Move-In: Monday, August 17, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
- Early arrival is available for students participating in Bridge Rx Scholars or other approved activities.
- Welcome Reception: 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. (Students, Faculty, Parents and Peer Mentors)

What to Bring
You’ll be moving into the residence halls a week early, so bring everything you’ll need for your first semester at Ohio State. In addition to your usual college essentials (bedding, toiletries, clothing, laptop, chargers, and school supplies)
Who Can Apply?
Admitted students to the Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences (BSPS) program who are PELL-eligible or first-generation college students.
