The part-time, Working Professional MS/HSPA-L program offers students a flexible learning option to complete their degree from anywhere in the country.

The part-time, Working Professional MS/HSPA-L program offers students a flexible learning option to complete their degree from anywhere in the country.

Most learning is asynchronous to allow for maximum flexibility to accommodate the demanding schedule of a working professional. Coursework is typically completed in 3-5 years and is designed to help
advance the student’s practice site, resulting in hands-on learning through completion of practice-based projects. Most of the program’s coursework will be paired with students in Combined MS/HSPA-L and Residency track, allowing for cross-learning and networking. To qualify for this program, applicants must have at least three years of experience in health-system pharmacy practice or have completed an ASHP-accredited PGY-1 residency and currently employed in a health system position.

Application Process

The minimum criteria to receive consideration for part-time admission to the MS/HSPA-L without a residency include:

  1. At least three years of experience in health-system pharmacy practice or have completed an ASHP-accredited PGY-1 residency and currently employed in a health system position.
  2. A 3.0 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) on undergraduate studies and a 3.0 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) on graduate studies
  3. Submission of CV, statement of interest, transcripts and three letters of reference (with one letter coming from the direct supervisor supporting the prospective student’s enrollment in the program).

*Applicants are also evaluated based on performance during interviews.
