Hi everyone! My name is Maura Evangelista, and I am a third-year out-of-state BSPS student. I currently work as a Career Services Representative in the College of Pharmacy and as a Referral Specialist at the Columbus Free Clinic. I am very passionate about giving back to the community– I volunteer biweekly at multiple sites with the Mid-Ohio Food Bank and the Columbus FreeClinic. I also enjoy shadowing professionals in different areas of healthcare and see it as an important way to learn and grow. After college, I plan to apply to law school to pursue a career in patent law. If you’d ever like to connect about volunteering, getting involved on campus, or even resume review and career resources, I’d love to help however I can!

Hello! My name is Rivka Ocho, a P3 in the PharmD program, a Career Services assistant of the College of Pharmacy, and the undergraduate liaison of the student organization, Black Students in Pharmacy. Though I am in my third year of my program, I am still open to what my future career could be. Academia is a possible route, and helping students with their own professional pursuits would aid in making a choice. Hi everyone! My name is Shakthivarrun Suresh, and I am a 4th year BSPS student at The Ohio State University. I’m on the pre-med track and work as a peer advisor with the College of Pharmacy Career Service. I’m also an undergraduate research assistant and a certified EMT, which has given me the opportunity to learn more about both research and patient care. As a fellow student, I know how challenging it can be to balance classes, work, and extracurriculars. I take great joy in supporting and talking about getting started in research, finding funding as an undergrad researcher, preparing for applications, or just figuring out how to make time for hobbies and friends. If you ever want advice, someone to look over your resume, or just to connect with another student, feel free to reach out!! Outside of academics, I enjoy playing pickleball, strength training, and traveling with family and friends. After graduation, I plan to pursue an MD with a strong focus on research, but in the meantime, I’m always happy to chat and share what I’ve learned along the way!
