Professional Interests

Dr. Antwi's expertise includes the design and synthesis of bioactive molecules for various diseases such as HIV-AIDs, cancer, and neglected tropical diseases. She teaches chemistry-related courses, including biochemistry and medicinal chemistry. She uses active learning techniques and promotes diversity and equity inside and outside the classroom.

Biography

Dr. Janet Antwi obtained her Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences with a concentration in medicinal chemistry from The Ohio State University, College of Pharmacy, and holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the State University of New York at Binghamton. Dr. Antwi is a trained medicinal chemist, and her expertise includes the design and synthesis of bioactive molecules for various diseases such as HIV-AIDs, cancer, and neglected tropical diseases. She teaches chemistry-related courses, including biochemistry and medicinal chemistry. She uses active learning techniques and promotes diversity and equity inside and outside the classroom.
