OPA CEO, alumna Sara Kilpatrick '10 visits college
On Feb. 6, the College of Pharmacy welcomed Ohio Pharmacists Association (OPA) CEO and alumna Sara Kilpatrick, MS ’10, for a campus visit. Kilpatrick stepped into the CEO role in November 2025 after previously serving as executive director of the Ohio Conference of the American Association of University Professors.
As CEO, Kilpatrick leads OPA in advancing its mission to invest in and empower pharmacists in every practice setting as medication experts. Her priorities include deepening member engagement, strengthening OPA’s advocacy efforts and supporting the profession amid a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape.
During her visit, pharmacy students gathered in 200 Parks Hall to learn more about OPA’s highly regarded Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) rotation rank, legislative advocacy efforts and other opportunities for professional involvement. With a strong background in government relations, Kilpatrick added valuable perspective to the discussion.
Kilpatrick also toured the College of Pharmacy and met with several key leaders and groups across the college. Her visit included meetings with Dean Deanna Kroetz, PhD, BS Pharm, the Pharmacy Practice and Science Division and college residents, as well as faculty leaders Jennifer Rodis, PharmD, FAPhA, and Bella Mehta, PharmD, FAPhA, among others.
