Now hiring: Assistant, Associate or Full Professor, Division of Pharmacy Practice and Science
The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy invites applications for an open rank tenure track faculty position within the Division of Pharmacy Practice and Science.
We are seeking a clinical and translational scientist with a strong record of scholarly productivity and a commitment to pharmacogenomics discovery and implementation research. The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center has partnered with Helix, a leading precision health company, to sequence the exomes of 100,000 individuals over the next 4-5 years. This community health research initiative is called Ohio State Genomic Health. As part of participation, individuals consent to sharing their deidentified electronic health records (EHRs) data with Helix. This partnership makes Ohio State part of the Helix Research Network, which is expected to eventually hold genomics data linked to EHR data on approximately 2M individuals.
The successful candidate will be expected to build an externally funded research program that can capitalize on this and other resources to advance understanding of genetic contributions to therapeutic and adverse responses to therapeutics, and/or facilitating or leading pharmacogenomic implementation into clinical practice. As a faculty member in the College of Pharmacy with broad interests in clinical and translational pharmacology, pharmacogenetics, outcomes, bioinformatics and human genetics, they will be well positioned to collaborate with a wide array of researchers across the University. This position will also add to the division expertise in using large data sets to improve therapeutic outcomes.
