Human Microbiome Data Discovery short course at Oregon Health & Science University
The Knight Cancer Institute is excited to announce that applications are open for the Human Microbiome Data Discovery short course. This 2-week short course is designed for postdoctoral fellows, clinical fellows, and junior faculty who have some prior training in research methods and biomedical science. Extensive programming or data science experience is not needed. With hands-on activities, lectures, mentorship and networking learners will gain: Familiarity with using publicly available data such as the integrative Human Microbiome Project (iHMP) and other Common Fund Data Ecosystem data; Competencies in basic data science skills, including data cleaning and management; Understanding of ethical use and limitations of artificial intelligence and machine learning in biomedical research.
