Applications open for FAME's fall 2026 leadership cohort programs

Faculty Advancement, Mentoring and Engagement (FAME) is excited to announce that applications for our fall 2026 leadership cohort programs are now open! This fall, we will be offering three dynamic leadership programs designed to support faculty and emerging leaders in medicine and the health sciences:

FAME Unites Engaged Leaders (FUEL) is a 5-month cohort program for faculty. It is designed to enhance knowledge in leadership with an emphasis on building and developing more effective teams and involves monthly, interactive in-person meetings.
•Program Timeline: September 2026 – January 2027
•Course Fee: $1,000
•Eligibility: Open to faculty of any rank from all 7 Health Sciences Colleges

The Faculty Leadership Institute (FLI) is a 10-month cohort program for faculty. It is designed to train faculty in the necessary competencies to become principled leaders and develop relational skills that are critical for effective leadership. It involves monthly in-person meetings, session pre- and post-work assignments, a 360° assessment, optional leadership coaching and a Final Leadership Project.
•Program Timeline: September 2026 – June 2027
•Course Fee: $3,500
•Eligibility: Open to faculty of any rank from all 7 Health Sciences Colleges with a minimum of 2 years in a faculty role at OSU. If you do not meet this requirement, you can still apply, but must submit a Letter of Support from your Department Chair, Division Chief or Dean.

Applied Technical Leadership & Administrative Skills (ATLAS) is a 10-month cohort program for faculty. It is designed to strengthen leaders’ technical and administrative skills while helping them reflect on and refine their leadership style. It involves monthly in-person meetings, session pre- and post-work assignments, and an Individual Capstone.
•Program Timeline: September 2026 – June 2027
•Course Fee: $4,900
•Eligibility: Open to faculty at the rank of associate or full professor from all 7 Health Sciences Colleges who currently serve in a leadership role with administrative responsibilities. Applicants must have completed FLI or an equivalent leadership development course and must have a minimum of 2 years in a faculty role at OSU. If you do not meet all the requirements, you can request an exception with a Letter of Support from your Department Chair, Division Chief or Dean.
