About the Ceremony
The College of Pharmacy’s White Coat Ceremony marks the official entry of the Class of 2026 into the Doctor of Pharmacy Program. The ceremony will feature keynote speaker Dr. Jennifer Rodis, Associate Dean for Outreach and Engagement, the individual coating of each student with their white coat, and the recitation of the Student of Pharmacy Pledge of Professionalism.
Students may bring an unlimited number of guests to the ceremony. There are no tickets or RSVPs required for guests.
Self-parking is available at the Ohio Union South Parking Garage at 1759 N. High Street, about a 5-minute walk from the venue. Parking in the garage is at an hourly rate, which can be paid at the pay-on-foot machines inside the garage prior to returning to your vehicle.
Guests with limited mobility may be dropped off in front of the Timashev Family Music Building along College Road. Accessible parking spaces are available within the Ohio Union South Garage.
Doors to Weigel will open at 3 p.m. for guest seating. It is open seating on a first-come, first-served basis. Students will report to a separate location than their guests to line up for the class processional.
Guests should be in their seats by 4 p.m. for the class processional into the auditorium, indicating the start of the ceremony.
There is an elevator within the Timashev Family Music Building to access Weigel Hall. Accessible seating is available for guests with mobility-based needs at the top of Weigel Hall, where you will enter the auditorium. The event will feature live closed captioning of all speakers.
