Move over, Buckeyes! Pharmacy students are coming to town this spring. The Ohio State Chapter of the Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA) will host the 2014 SNPhA Meeting for Regions III, IV, and V of the organization.

Encompassing all but the New England and Southern Schools, students from around the country will convene at the Downtown Columbus Hilton Hotel March 14-16, 2014. The theme, “Embracing Diversity in the World of Pharmacy,” will bring in notable speakers to educate a new generation of pharmacists.

According to Felix Tran, current national president of SNPhA and an Ohio State student, this conference is an essential experience for the attendees.

“The Regional Meeting will be a unique experience for attendees through a variety of offerings,” said Tran.  “There will be plenty of opportunities to network with a wide range of people and industries from across the country. On behalf of SNPhA, I am happy to invite pharmacists, pharmacy students, industry professionals, those interested in pursuing a career in pharmacy, and others to this event.”

The meeting will include guest speakers, continuing education, networking opportunities, information on becoming a national officer, engaging in legislative business sessions, and the option to participate in several competitions such as the Clinical Skills Competition.
